Anyone planning to have a look at Tera once it launches in Europe ?
I pre-ordered it to try out, but i'm not fixed yet on my server choice.
Hope to catch some of you around !

Current forum question is often GW2 or Tera ?
Answer for me is Tera is out the 3rd of May, GW2 at the end of the year ^^
Its an action based MMO in Korean universe ( teddy bears, underskirts etc ).
Master points :
- No targetting system, you have to aim where you want to hit.
- You can perfect a mob if you are skilled at avoiding its attacks (physically, not using an avoidance buff => roll on the side, put you shield up, get out of reach etc).
- Political system, you can vote for lords and the king, this person will be in place for 3 weeks and can influence the mob repartition, taxes and other things.
- Other things i didn't look at yet

fyi, there is an open beta week that is starting today and ending next tuesday (24th April). It's the last step before launch day (3rd May).

It's a bit of a shame as the gameplay itself is kind of awesome. And yes, the little girls don't have any panty shots in EU/US version heh.
Several things have been censured for european version. They wanted it to fit PEGI 12. So there will be changes with blood and armors at least.
A wave of contestation is going about that. Those modifications went out after the beginning of pre-order ^^
Personnaly, my gf is loving swinging a berserker axe As her first MMO, I will give it a chance, maybe she'll like GW2 also

First impressions from the open beta. It was kind of fun ! PvP combats are tactical and can last some time if both challengers are skilled. And you are less stuff dependant. Moving on the sides really have a point, more than just LoS.
I really liked playing as a tank with a shield. If you know the mob, you can determine wether a hit is going to be landed or not and put your shield up. That works for hits that come from front, for side hits (a swing for exemple), you have to turn a bit on the side to actualy have it hitting your shield.
We'll see with more game time

Still on Callida but playing a slayer called Lohrim mainly. In the guild Atlantide.
I had some really good impressions, that I didn't found on previous MMO for a while ^^
But I have to admit that I was sceptical about the political system which allows guild leaders to rule a region for some weeks based on elections. But finaly it offers a new strategical view on guild alliances and guild wars.
The first wave of Kikoololers seems to be dying revelling a community which is not that bad and the gameplay is still as expected during the beta and gives some pretty good feelings.

C'est bien TERA ? je suivais il y a quelques années son avancée, et ce monde me plaisait bien !
On a subit quelques soucis de stabilité des serveurs mais c'est corrigé depuis une semaine.
Sinon il y a du contenu qui tarde à arriver (repoussé à cause des patchs sur les crash servers) ! Mais j'suis patient, ça viendra dans les mois à venir ^^
Au programme des futurs patchs :
- Nexus (même principes que les rifts dans... Rift, mais orienté pour des groupes de guildes)
- les BG
Sinon j'aime beaucoup ! C'est super beau graphiquement, les instances HL sont bien difficiles et le PvP/GvG me plait beaucoup
Il manque cependant les BG qu'ils ont implémentés en Corée... puis enlevés... puis finalement en cours de développement vu qu'ils sont pas content du résultat de leur travail ^^
En bref, le PvE c'est sympa mais c'est surtout orienté PvP (pas de raids à ma connaissance, juste des modes de difficulté à 5).
Et j'aime beaucoup le PvP sur Tera
Je suis officié sur la guilde Atlantide (Maoni, Guerrier). Si des personnes veulent essayer le trial et qu'ils se sentent de tester une guilde...
